Organize Your Business
By establishing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, you are committing to building a more organized and interactive relationship with your customers. Your customers will benefit (externally) from better marketing, more resources, quicker service, and more. Your team (internally) will benefit from better communication, organization of accounts and resources, work load optimization from workflows and more.
Open Source VS The Cloud
There are three types of CRM. Open Source (example: SugarCRM), that is completely open with all the component code being available to modify. Open Source CRM is typically hosted on your server. Cloud CRM (example: Salesforce CRM) is not hosted on your servers but “on the cloud” for a subscription cost. Cloud CRM’s are not as modifiable as Open Source CRM’s but can still be customized extensively (often through the use of “extensions”).
